Ryman Eco, the ink saving, eco friendly font
The font, named Ryman Eco, uses an average of 33% less ink than a suite standard from like Arial or Times New Roman. Beautiful and legible when printed: at standard point size (10-14 point), Ryman Eco looks like a normal font thanks to the inherent bleeding of ink and toner. At larger sizes, the white space in between the dozens of tiny thin lines and curves, which make up each letter become more visible.
With Australian’s sending 1.4 million ink cartridges to landfill every year, this innovative idea thinks outside the usual recycling box. By using less ink at the source, Ryman are hoping to save over 490 million ink cartridges and nearly 15 million barrels of oil.
Best of all. It’s free.
